Sunday brunch in Cologne with tremendous view to the Cathedral and the River Rhine

The Sunday brunch at Glashaus Restaurant is not only well-established in Cologne, but has also welcomed numerous guests from a number of other cities. Since the opening of Hyatt Regency Cologne in 1988, the brunch has become a tradition at our hotel. It does not matter if you are seated at our Glashaus Restaurant, Graugans Event Salon or the Bibliothek, because you will have the opportunity to enjoy the most beautiful views of the old town of Cologne and the cathedral from all of these locations. Not only is the view wonderful, but the exquisite assortment of dishes and our cordial and personal service make the brunch unique. Every Sunday and during the Christmas holidays, the entire team serves high quality dishes. As usual, we prefer seasonal and regional produce. For this reason we receive our range of pastries from a local baker in town called ‘Merzenich’. Therefore, each week we serve a different variety of products. But you do not have to resign yourself to our classics. Stay tuned to get excited about our culinary diversity.

 

Breakfast selection:

Normally you cannot serve brunch without a classic breakfast. A live cooking station, where you will get freshly scrambled eggs and any other egg dishes, is not missing. We also offer an extensive choice of sausages and cheeses. Of course you will also find a comprehensive assortment of bread and cereals, as well as a variety of fresh fruit.

 

Appetisers: 

In addition, we have a selection of smoked specialties and exquisite appetisers at our gourmet boutique. Some dishes change every month, but we have several classics that we offer each week:
Beef carpaccio, rocket, parmesan
Smoked salmon, lime crème fraiche
Vitello tonnato, capers
Grilled vegetables, aceto balsamic
Vine tomatoes, mozzarella, basil pesto

 

Live stations: 

Another highlight of our Sunday brunch comes in the form of the numerous live cooking stations, where our cooks personally prepare your culinary delights. Whether it is a cut of freshly sliced beef, lamb or poached salmon, they will prepare the dishes in front of you and may even give you a little advice for your own creations.

 

Desserts: 
Desserts are a highlight for several people, and mark the ideal completion of a successful buffet. The entire pastry team always tries to prepare food that looks its best, in order to convince all guests. Classics such as crème brûlée, tiramisu and white or dark chocolate mousse are complemented by many other delicacies. In addition, a live dessert cooking station often presents homemade ice cream, sweet tapas, tarts and many other desserts to guests.

 

The price is EUR 59 per person including a glass of Crémant, tea and coffee specialties. On special occasions, such as Advent or Christmas, the brunch price may different.
